Understand application settings

The App Settings page allows you to make application level configurations. You can view and change information about and change settings for your application. 


Open the application settings page

To change the settings of an application, firstly make sure you have the admin permission of this application (as the Administrator of this app or the system admin). Then from the top-right of this application's header, click the Gear icon, and click "app settings" from the pop-up menu:


Overview about the application settings page

This settings page is separated into four categories.

1. Basic

The Basic settings section allows you to edit basic information specific to the application. You can:

  1. Find the application's basic information at the top of this page, like the application icon, application name and description, the user who created this application, and the created date. 
  2. You can find the App's unique ID below the application name. This App ID will be used if you need to call the Restful APIs to operate the forms and data lists inside this application. For more information about Yeeflow's APIs, please refer: Yeeflow APIs | Yeeflow Developer Site.
  3. From the right side, you can find the permissions of this application: Administrators / Editors / Visitors.

Click the "Edit info" button from this section to open the "Edit application" page, while you can change the application basic settings.

The second part of the basic settings section lists all the existing components of this application. The component items are grouped based on the type of components.

You can click the name of each component item to open the page. from the ID column, you can find the unique ID of the components. Like for data list, you can find the list ID, and for approval form, you can find the form unique ID. You can also find the user who created each component and the created date.

2. Appearance

The Appearance settings section allows you define the global styles which can be used from the designer of this application, or change the styles of the application's header and navigation menu bar. 3. Menu

Set the menu items and styles of this application from this Menu settings section. To learn the details of the appearance settings, please refer: Set the Navigation Menu Bar.

4. Custom CSS

Add custom CSS here to change the styles of your application. For example, you can add custom CSS here to change the background color of the data list and the primary buttons as below:

This will change the styles of all the buttons and the table controls on your main page:
